Delivered & Operational
A household biogas digester is a small, sealed fibreglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) tank of 8 m³ capacity, installed at a family's own home. The household feeds it with dung from its own animals, and it produces enough gas to cover daily cooking.
The units are designed for households keeping 5 to 10 animals — the great majority of rural livestock owners in the Punjab. Because each unit is small, modular and privately owned, it avoids the shared-management difficulties that come with larger community plants.
An estimated PKR 5,000–10,000 saved per household every month, by displacing LPG, firewood and dung-cake burning.
Cooking on clean gas instead of burning dung cake and firewood removes a daily source of smoke from inside the home.
The digested slurry left over is a rich organic fertiliser, available to the household for its own land at no extra cost.

Households keeping 5 to 10 animals can register their interest in a digester. Distribution is managed by the District Administration against approved criteria.
